Line Manager : V.P.Operations
Location : Bangalore, Whitefield.
Qualification : Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent combination of application education/experience.
Experience : 5 to 8 years
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Competitive Intelligence
Tracking the competitor companies and their products regularly. Understanding their activities like: LCM (Life Cycle Management), new product developments and launches, In-licensing activities, identifying the KIQs (Key Intelligence Questions) for organized competitor tracking, insights into short term and long term implications for the activities of the companies.
Market Assessment
Identifying size of indication for market potential assessment. Market assessment for indications in terms of patient potential (epidemiology), sales value, sales units, prescriptions (new and total) etc. To identify the competition (current and future), growth trends, factors driving growth, regulatory changes, technology changes, unmet needs and opportunities.
Epidemiology Analysis
Estimation of current and future epidemiology based on information from secondary sources like cross sectional studies. Analysis of factors contributing to epidemiology in various regions. Calculation of patient treatment days. Cost analysis for treatment in different geographies.
Market segmentation
Identification of specific segments with-in larger indications. Estimating the potential of the specific segments.
Retrospective analysis for product success and failure
Analysis of company products to understand the reasons success and failure. Analysis of overall company strategy like targeting and positioning of product, promotion channels, promotion cost. Understanding the physician perception of product through articles and blogs from secondary sources.
Off-label market estimation
Estimation of off-label drug usage in the pain market. This was done using NDTI for identification of off-label indication and IMS MIDAS data to interpret the indication potential.
Updates and Data analysis using
a. IMS-MIDAS, PADDS, NDTI, CUBES, NPA; Scott-Levin's data
b. CAM Data Analysis – cost of promotion by different channels, cost raised to sales analysis, detailing curves for various specialties over a period of time
Other analytical projects including pricing analysis, side effect profiling of drugs, patient treatment days calculation, evolution of therapy classes etc.
